AmeriTel Communications is proud to help spread the word about a creative and impactful initiative led by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary North Jersey Shore Division. As we approach National Safe Boating Week (May 17–23), all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students in Monmouth and Ocean Counties are invited to participate in a Boating Safety Poster Contest.
This year’s theme encourages students to show how we can all help protect our waterways and the marine life that depend on them.
From organizing beach cleanups to promoting safe boating practices, the goal is to raise awareness among young learners about the importance of water safety and environmental conservation.
Students are asked to create original posters on standard 22×28-inch poster board using any art method. Each submission must include the student’s name, teacher’s name, and school information on the back. Posters must be submitted by Saturday, May 24, 2025, and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each grade.
Prizes include:
- 1st Place – Family of 5 Fun Pack to the Boardwalk (includes aquarium, rides, beach, funhouse, and mini golf)
- 2nd Place – Private Behind-the-Scenes Tour of Jenkinson’s Aquarium for four
- 3rd Place – Animal Adoption from Jenkinson’s Aquarium
- All winners will also receive a prize bag and Challenge Coin from the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary
AmeriTel applauds this effort to educate and inspire the next generation of environmental stewards. For more information or to arrange poster drop-off, contact the division at 732-592-9067.
